By George Mulry, 09/23/19, 1:15PM EDT

45-mile ride to kick off from International Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke on Sept. 28

The International Volleyball Hall of Fame (IVHF) is proud to announce its inaugural Police Escorted Charity Motorcycle Ride and Party in the Park Concert on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The 45-mile ride will kick off from the Volleyball Hall of Fame in Heritage State Park with a scheduled stop at Atkins Farm in Amherst before riders return to the Hall of Fame for a free community concert in the park.

“Volleyball grew and spread through the YMCA and the U.S. military.” Commented IVHF Executive Director, George Mulry.  “Our Board President is an avid rider and we thought a charity motorcycle ride would be an unexpected way for us to engage people outside the volleyball community - specifically our veterans.”

Registration/check-in for the ride will start at 9am followed by a short ceremony at 9:50am and kickstands up at 10am.

The Party in the Park Concert will kick-off at Noon with Holyoke Craft Beer on hand to serve refreshments.  The free community concert will feature two great musical acts – The Brian & Vicky Show and Vinnie Pagano of Cold Shot

Admission to the IVHF Museum will be free all day with a special sitting volleyball court set up inside along with an outdoor volleyball net for open play and bag toss along with other games and fun for kids.
