61 players from 26 different schools selected for 1st and 2nd team honors.
The International Volleyball Hall of Fame (IVHF) in Holyoke, MA is proud to announce the eighth Hall of Fame Girls High School Volleyball All-Star Teams and All-Star Showcase presented by All the Right Stuff Sports and Pioneer Valley Juniors Volleyball Club.
Holyoke, MA – November 13, 2019 - The 61 players selected represent 26 different high schools in all four counties of Western Massachusetts. All selected players will be invited to play in the All-Star Showcase Games on Tuesday, November 19th at West Springfield High School.
The event will start with a 3-set 2nd team all-star match at 6:30pm followed by a 3-set 1st team match at 7:30pm. Adult tickets are $10 and Students/Children are FREE.
Admission to the All-Star Game also includes a FREE future admission pass to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame Museum. For the sixth year, the Hall of Fame will also announce the IVHF D2 & D3 Western Massachusetts Players of the Year at the conclusion of the evening.
“The Hall of Fame is excited to honor players from 26 different schools in Western Massachusetts.” said IVHF Executive Director George Mulry. “The level of volleyball in Western Massachusetts has been on the rise in recent years and it is truly an honor and a privilege to recognize the rising stars right here in our own backyard.”
Selected players were chosen by Western Massachusetts girls high school coaches. Undefeated Minnechaug Regional led all teams with six total selections to the first and second teams while Amherst, Frontier, Lee, Longmeadow, and Westfield rounded out the rest of the top group. Berkshire County was well represented with 12 total selections.
